Lea Michele lost her mind at Cory Monteith death news
OHMYGOSSIP — Lea Michele “completely lost her mind” when she found out Cory Monteith had died. The actor died from a mixture of heroin and alcohol on July 13.
Lea learned of his death during a harrowing phone call that she’ll likely never forget. She allegedly received the call around 10 p.m. on July 13. The person on the other end had been frantic to reach the Glee star before she heard of 31-year-old Cory’s passing on the news.
“Lea completely lost her mind. She went crazy, screaming and crying until 3 a.m.,” a source told Us Weekly.
“Lea has been inconsolable and feels like she’s been hit by a truck. She didn’t know he’d started using again. She is camped out at a friend’s house because she can’t be alone now.”
Lea did, however, leave her friend’s house to say goodbye to Cory one last time.
Cory’s mother, Ann McGregor, held a viewing at the hospital with Lea, 26, and Cory’s older brother, Shaun Monteith on July 16. She then decided to cremate his body in Vancouver after the viewing.
