Jordin Sparks: 2020 has confirmed to me that my husband is the one for me

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordin Sparks says 2020 has given her “total confirmation” that her husband is “the person she’s supposed to be with”.
The 30-year-old singer tied the knot with Dana Isaiah in 2017, and after the pair spent most of 2020 isolating together at home amid the coronavirus pandemic, she’s now more convinced than ever that their romance is built to last.
She said: “I don’t know if this is a surprising thing, but I do know in my bones it’s just been total confirmation to me that he’s the person I’m supposed to be with. Dana is everything, he is my partner, not in crime, but he’s my partner in life [and] thrive – is what I like to say.
“He is an amazing father. He is an amazing human. He is an amazing friend – he’s my best friend. It’s just really cool that we can do life together. I knew that he was it before, but confirmation has definitely been a beautiful thing.”
The ‘No Air’ hitmaker also spoke about her and Dana’s two-year-old son, Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr. – whom they call DJ – as she said the toddler has “grown so much” over the past year.
She added to People magazine’s ‘People in 10’: “DJ, honestly, throughout this whole year, DJ has grown so much, like exponentially. His conversation, we can have full-blown conversations now. And he connects everything with what he’s talking about.”
Meanwhile, Jordin recently said she’s enjoyed watching her son “blossom” this year, as she’s been able to spend every day with him thanks to lockdown.
She said in August: “DJ has just blossomed so much during this time. Being able to see him grow every single day is so much fun. This morning DJ walked up to Dana, shook his hand and said, ‘Nice to meet you, Dad.’ It was the cutest thing – we never taught him how to shake hands! He’s like a little Energiser bunny – he just keeps going and going.”
