Russell Watson marks birthday with a spa day on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Russell Watson marked his birthday with a special spa day on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The opera singer turned 54 on Tuesday (24.11.20), and in scenes from the ITV reality series which aired on Wednesday (25.11.20), the star could be seen getting emotional at the thought of spending his special day without his family.
He said: “There was this massive rendition of Happy Birthday for me, which was lovely. It was so nice.
“My wife, Louise, she always makes a massive fuss of me on my birthday. She understands the significance of how glad I am to still be here.”
Later in the episode, Jessica Plummer, Giovanna Fletcher, Ruthie Henshall, and Beverley Callard were given a special task named ‘Mean Massage’, which involved them enduring a critter and snake filled massage for 12 minutes.
But after completing the challenge, they were each able to pick a campmate they wanted to receive a real massage as part of a luxurious spa day, and to mark Russell’s birthday, Ruthie chose him as her nominee.
Giovanna chose Hollie Arnold, Beverley nominated Vernon Kay, and Jessica chose to let Giovanna enjoy the relaxing treat.
The spa reward saw the four lucky campmates enjoy a spread of tasty treats, as well as face masks and a dip in a hot tub.
Giovanna said: “Oh my gosh, peppers, carrots, hummus, mango, strawberry, pineapple, grapes, honestly it was amazing.”
Whilst Vernon added: “I feel a million dollars, I really do. I’m ready for a Saturday night out.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Jessica and Shane Richie tackled the ‘Sickening Stalls’ trial, where they won the maximum total of 12 stars for camp, meaning they’d all get to eat a full meal.
And to reward them for their hard work, the camp were given pheasant for dinner.
Vernon said: “Hallelujah, we’ve got normal food. We’ve finally got something, that looks like something, that you would actually eat at home on a plate.”
