Pierce Brosnan loses daughter Charlotte to ovarian cancer
OHMYGOSSIP — Pierce Brosnan’s daughter has died of ovarian cancer. Just 22 years after losing his first wife, Cassandra Harris to the disease, the James Bond star’s daughter has too passed away.
When talking about Charlotte‘s tragic death, he told PEOPLE:
“On June 28 at 2 p.m. my darling daughter Charlotte Emily passed on to eternal life, having succumbed to ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her husband Alex, children Isabella and Lucas and brothers Christopher and Sean,”
“Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl. We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon. We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences,” the 60 year old actor continued.
Brosnan married Charlotte’s mother, Cassandra Harris, in 1980 then went on to adopt Charlotte in 1986 when her biological father, Dermot Harris, passed away.
Charlotte was 41 when she passed and leaves behind husband Alex Smith and their two young children.
