OHMYGOSSIP — Maisie Smith’s ‘EastEnders’ fame couldn’t prepare her for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. The 19-year-old actress has played Tiffany Butcher on the BBC One soap since she was six-years-old but whilst she is “used to being in the limelight”, she admits ‘Strictly’ is a whole “different level”. Speaking to BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat, she said: “I’m used to being in the limelight but Strictly is a different level. It’s weird going to the rehearsals every day and there are 10 people waiting to take pictures of you. I just wasn’t expecting that from day one. Everything is heightened massively.” Meanwhile, Maisie previously confessed she was “cocky” when she first auditioned for ‘EastEnders’. The 19-year-old actress confessed to being overly-confident during her initial try out for the part. She shared: “I’m probably best known for playing Tiffany Butcher on ‘EastEnders’. first appeared on ‘EastEnders’ back in 2008 when I was six years old. “When I first auditioned, I was quite a cocky little minx. I strutted in there, chucked the lines on the side and went, ‘Guys, I know them’. They were like, ‘This is the one.'” And Maisie previously insisted she was a better actress when she was six years old. She joked: “I had more talent when I was six years old than I do now! I think it was a confidence thing – sometimes I have to remind myself of the young Tiffany character because I forgot what a sassy little icon she was! They gave me so many good scenes, sometimes kids don’t really get much but we had such a great time!”
