Ranvir Singh to perform the Cha Cha on Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Ranvir Singh is set to dance the Cha Cha on Saturday (14.11.20) as she continues her quest for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ glory.
The 43-year-old TV presenter has been one of the surprise packages of the current series so far and Ranvir – who is partnered with Giovanni Pernice – is preparing to dance to ‘Oye Como Va’ by Santana.
Elsewhere, Caroline Quentin and her professional partner Johannes Radebe will perform a Waltz, while Hrvy and Janette Manrara will perform a salsa routine to the sound of ‘Dynamite’ by BTS.
Soap star Maisie Smith – who was one of the pre-series favourites – and Gorka Marquez will try their hand at the Cha Cha, as they perform to a Cyndi Lauper track, while Nicola Adams and Katya Jones – the show’s first ever same-sex dance partnership – are going to do an American smooth to Ben E. King’s ‘Stand By Me’.
Max George is also performing an American smooth, and Jamie Laing is set to try a samba.
Ranvir topped the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ leaderboard after Movie Week and she subsequently admitted to being surprised by her early success.
She said: “It was a total shock. I mean, I wasn’t expecting that at all. I’ve watched it over a couple of times just to make sure that actually happened. It doesn’t feel realistic to me.”
Ranvir also hailed the influence of her professional partner.
She shared: “It’s down to Giovanni, he pushes me really hard … And it’s quite overwhelming really, as you’re trying your best and he’s saying, ‘I want a little bit more from you’. All the time he wants a little bit more, and then that happens.”
