Julianne Hough to star in scripted podcast for Meet Cute

OHMYGOSSIP — Julianne Hough is set to star in a scripted podcast about self-love.
The 32-year-old former professional dancer recently filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Brooks Laich, and she’s now set to front a podcast series which details the journey of finding love from within.
Julianne’s series will be titled ‘Transformation – Awaken’, and will be airing on the Meet Cute platform, which delivers 15-minute audio romantic comedies.
Speaking about why she was drawn to Meet Cute and its content, she said: “Traditional rom-coms are so unrealistic. I’ve talked to my sisters and my friends so many times being like, ‘Man, romantic comedies really messed me up,’ because of my expectations of what is supposed to happen, or it’s just not [the] reality of what I’ve experienced.
“[Meet Cute] has been doing realistic love stories of how people meet and the truth behind it.”
The former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional will star in the series as a character named Jennifer, and has said she hopes the stories will resonate with listeners who are looking for love.
Whilst talking about her character, she explained: “When she has lived her life a certain way, and then actually taking time for herself to even decide who she is and what she wants in her life, really her whole life changes. She didn’t change the core of who she is, she just connected more to her truth, and what’s really cool is, by the end of it, she’s in such an amazing place that love really could come to her. She doesn’t have to go looking for it, because she’s so full.”
And Julianne also hopes people will listen to the podcast and understand that it’s okay to keep “evolving” as a person.
She told People magazine: “We’re constantly evolving. To be able to have an outlet of expression to write this and to feel safe, comfortable, and being honest about where you are in this moment and where you’re at six months from now could be somewhere completely different, and that’s okay.
“I’m not telling people they should do this, but what people can do to be like, ‘Man, where do I start? I’m so focused on meeting someone that I need to focus on meeting myself.’ I’m just excited for people to see that and hopefully find their own transformation within themselves.”
