Iggy Azalea: Grown-ups shouldn’t need babysitters

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Azalea thinks grown-ups shouldn’t need “babysitters”.
The 30-year-old rapper – who recently split from boyfriend Playboi Carti – took to Twitter to post the cryptic message, suggesting adults should be happy and comfortable on their own.
Iggy wrote on the micro-blogging platform: “If you can’t be happy alone you’re weak. There, I said it. Grown ups shouldnt need babysitters. (sic)”
The ‘Fancy’ hitmaker confirmed last month that she had split from her boyfriend and revealed that she would raise their five-month-old son Onyx alone.
Having previously hinted at the split, Iggy wrote on Instagram Story: “You lost a real 1 People take loyalty for granted & that’s why I’d rather be alone. (sic).”
She added: “What I meant last night was that I’m raising my son alone & I’m not in a relationship. (sic).”
Iggy revealed in June that she had given birth to Onyx and that she wanted to keep her son’s life private.
The chart-topping rapper announced: “I have a son.
“I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realise I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.
“I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret and I love him beyond words.”
Meanwhile, Iggy recently admitted that she took criticism of her music to heart earlier in her career.
She explained: “It’s hard to separate trolling from legitimate criticism.
“When you get thrown into the deep end, you have a natural inclination as a human to defend your character. There were times, in retrospect, where I was way too defensive … where there was so much coming from every direction that I just didn’t have the ability to pick through what was valid and what wasn’t.”
