Louise Redknapp: I haven’t been on one date since marriage split

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Redknapp hasn’t been on a single date since splitting with her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp three years ago.
The 45-year-old singer and media personality has been single since she split from Jamie in 2017 after almost two decades of marriage, and has admitted she hasn’t even entertained the thought of dating someone new, because her sons – Charley, 16, and Beau, 11 – aren’t keen on the idea.
She said: “I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to have a boyfriend because, first of all, the 16-year-old is like, ‘Well, how they’re going to get past me?’
“Sometimes I go, ‘How would you feel if I went on a date?’ He’s like, ‘I don’t want to talk about it’.
“It’s not looking positive for me when it comes to love life.
“Still haven’t been on a date! Lockdown is not helping me in the dating world.”
And Louise has admitted she still “struggles on a daily basis” with emotions from the fallout of her split, and doesn’t think it will “ever get easier” for her to cope with her divorce.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I’m by no means in this amazing place; if I said I was, I’d be lying.
“I’ve still have so many struggles on a daily basis because I don’t know if someone ever gets over getting divorced after 20 years.
“I don’t think that will ever get easier for someone like me.
“I don’t want to feel hurt, I don’t want to feel worried about everyone I know and love, I don’t want to worry that everything I do will have a negative effect.”
Meanwhile, 47-year-old former football star Jamie also recently said he found his split from Louise to be difficult.
He said earlier this month: “It’s never easy but you have to make sure the kids come first and foremost and you make sure that you’re there to support them as much as possible.”
