The Voice host Emma Willis is excited to film next month

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Willis is excited to get back to filming ‘The Voice’ next month.
The 44-year-old star – who has fronted the TV talent show since 2014 – confirmed the team will be working on the semi-finals and finals in “two or three weeks” after a long break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Friday (23.10.20), she said: “Yeah, I believe so – unless anything changes in the next couple of weeks.
“We go and film in two or three weeks, kind of mid November time. I’m in one of those phases where I’m like, ‘OK that’s in the diary, is it going to happen?’ ”
On Halloween (31.10.20), viewers will be treated to a special catch-up episode to get everyone up to speed before the new episodes air.
She added: “It’s one of those things where we stopped, obviously – we only had the semi-finals and finals left to do, which are normally our live shows.
“We weren’t able to do those, so because there’s been so much time in between we recorded a catch-up show so that everybody can remember who’s involved.
“It kinda feels like that series finished, but it really didn’t. We’ve still got a bunch of contestants.”
The pandemic has also impacted her W series ‘Delivering Babies’, which had to be filmed remotely due to restrictions during lockdown.
Emma explained: “We were meant to go and do series three in April, but obviously that got stopped. So we kinda did what we’re doing now with us guys [on Zoom] – we did this kind of ‘Delivering Babies’.
“We enlisted loads of women from all across the country and they filmed everything for about three months, in the lead up to birth – how they were feeling during lockdown, the differences in being pregnant in lockdown, and what pregnancy is normally like when you’re not in lockdown.”
The women filmed their own births – and their journeys after welcoming babies into the world – and Emma admitted the show is a positive thing during the pandemic.
She added: “A little bit of joy and lightness coming out of hospitals and the NHS, because babies are being born every day, and it’s making people’s year, even though this pandemic is breaking a lot of years, it was a really lovely thing to be a part of.”
