Ed Sheeran, David Beckham and more join his parents’ star-studded auction

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran’s parents are auctioning off unique and rare items from huge stars including David Beckham, Pink Floyd and Richard Curtis.
The ‘Perfect’ hitmaker has made some special donations of his own to the Suffolk Legacy Auction – including handwritten lyrics of his chart-topping songs – which is raising money for children’s charity GeeWizz.
As well as the lyrics, Ed has also offered a signed ticket and handbill from his first ever gig at the Royal British Legion in Framlingham, a homemade CD of the ‘You Need Me’ EP from 2009, and a collection of his childhood Lego bricks.
The ‘Lego House’ singer’s parents John and Imogen Sheeran wanted to create a lasting legacy from the ‘Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk’ exhibition, which is currently open at Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich.
Other musicians have got involved, with Nick Mason offering signed Pink Floyd memorabilia, while the likes of John Mayer, Snow Patrol and Steve Harley have put guitars up for auction.
Also included are amazing items from Anne-Marie, Rolling Stones legend Bill Wyman, and meet and greats with Keane and Duran Duran, plus VIP tickets to events like the BRIT Awards 2021, and the Grammys.
Over on the film side, Sir Peter Jackson has signed and donated a rare ‘Lord of the Rings’ wall plaque, as well as a deluxe edition of ‘The Hobbit’ and a poster signed by the likes of Elijah Wood, Cate Blanchett and Orlando Bloom.
Richard Curtis and Emma Feud have also provided a film cell from ‘Love Actually’, and a framed, annotated page from the original script.
For sports fans, David Beckham, Usain Bolt, Ben Stokes and Shane Warne have all made generous donations, while Frankie Dettori, the England 2020 rugby squad and Dame Jessica Ennis Hill are amongst those getting involved.
The world of art has also donated to the cause, with special pieces from Damien Hirst, Colin Davidson, Mark Surridge and Ralph Larmann.
Ed’s dad John said: “We are so pleased that the auction will create important, lasting legacies.
“Proceeds will help to improve the quality of care and wellbeing for children and young adults across the county of Suffolk and beyond.
“Imogen and I send our thanks to everyone who has organised, supported and donated to the auction. We cannot think of a better legacy for the exhibition to leave.”
