Kym Marsh supports the HereForHer campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh has joined a campaign that supports victims of domestic abuse.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress is fronting Crime+Investigation’s #HereForHer initiative, which aims to let domestic abuse victims know there is a “community of support” out there for them.
Kym explained: “Many people still believe that domestic abuse is a private matter and many victims of domestic abuse feel isolated from friends or family due to their abusive partners, and feel like they have no one to talk to.
“That is why I’m championing the #HereForHer initiative to let those victims know there is a community of support available to them, even if they feel like they have nowhere to turn.”
In November 2019, Crime+Investigation launched its End Abuse Against Women initiative in partnership with Refuge, the domestic abuse charity.
The overarching ambition at the time was to increase awareness of the life-saving support services that Refuge provides across the UK.
Kym, 44, is proud to support the new #HereForHer campaign.
She said: “Domestic abuse is a crime and initiatives like Crime+Investigation’s #HereForHer are absolutely vital to raising much-needed awareness of an issue that has huge knock-on effects across society and raise much-needed funds to support the hugely important work Refuge do through their national Helpline and emergency services.”
As part of the campaign, Kym will front a four-part true-crime series called ‘Murder at My Door with Kym Marsh’ for Crime+Investigation.
The series, which premieres on November 2, will explore the stories of domestic violence victims.
