Three more join Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard and Pete Ploszek will join Alan Ritchson in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, playing the iconic crime-fighting reptiles.

Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard and Pete Ploszek have been cast in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’.

The actors will round out the main cast of the upcoming Michael Bay-produced film, joining Alan Ritchson in the roles of the iconic crime-fighting reptiles, according to Deadline.

Fisher is set to play Michaelangelo and has previously worked with the film’s director, Jonathan Liebesman, on ‘Battle Los Angeles’. His other credits include miniseries ‘Hatfields & McCoys’ and ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2’.

Ploszek, who has previously appeared in TV shows ‘Parks and Recreation’ and ‘Shameless’, will play Leonardo, and Howard will round out the foursome as Donatello.

‘Smallville’ and ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ actor Ritchson was the first Ninja Turtle cast in the Paramount and Platinum Dunes movie last week, playing Raphael.

‘Transformers’ star Megan Fox previously landed the female lead in the live action/CGI flick. She will play TV reporter April O’Neil, who is best friend to the sewer-dwelling ninjutsu expert turtles. The film reunites the actress with her ‘Transformers’ director, Bay, who she famously had a public feud with in 2010 – comparing him to Hitler – which resulted in her not being brought back for 2011’s ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’.

Producers are still looking for an actor to play the Ninja Turtles’ mentor Shredder.

The new incarnation of ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ will use performance capture to bring the crime-fighters to life, in a similar vein to James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’.

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ is tentatively set for release in June 2014.
