Ant and Dec could face giant seagull in new I’m A Celeb location

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have been warned of giant seagulls “mugging” the residents of the new location for ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Here!’
The Geordie duo will be heading to North Wales in the UK to host this year’s series – which is usually set in New South Wales, Australia – due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But the presenters and famous camp mates will come under attack from greedy gulls if they leave food around as it has left some residents with physical injuries.
Conwy Council confirmed: “We are getting more and more complaints of gulls ‘mugging’ people for food. In some cases this had led to physical injury.”
Families and postal workers have been attacked by the birds, having ice creams and burgers snatched from their hands.
A spokeswoman at Abergele Golf Course – which is next to the Castle where the celebrities will camp – said: “I bought two ice creams and a seagull swooped down and stole one from me.
“It’s quite frightening. I’ve heard the council brought in a falcon to try and scare them away.
“To those taking over the castle – don’t leave food out because the gulls will be all over you!”
Producers at ITV decided there was no choice but to push on with a “contingency plan” with the situation in Oz changing daily amid the global health pandemic.
The source explained: “It’s been a dynamic and fast-changing situation. What is OK one day is impossible the next.
“The team have had many, many different contingency plans in play to deal with all the various possibilities that Covid-19 has presented.
“However as time went on it became increasingly obvious that as one problem is solved, another appeared and there came a point where producers had to make tough decisions.”
