Diane Kruger felt trapped in Germany
OHMYGOSSIP — Diane Kruger felt “trapped” growing up in Germany. The actress didn’t enjoy living in her home town. “I felt really trapped in my home town. My mum could sense it and to this day, without her trust in me, I don’t know what I would have become,” she told the new issue of Flare magazine.
“People just thought I was – not turning into a prostitute, but kind of. Everyone was furious. My dad was furious. My school thought I was making the biggest mistake of my life. I knew this was not the life that was meant for me.”
Diane then discussed her friendship with designer Karl Lagerfeld.
“I’ve known him since I move to Pars when I was 16. He’s very kind and can be very funny and ironic and silly. In difficult moments in my life when I don’t really know who to talk to, I sort of drop by his studio and he knows me well enough to pick up on weird things. He really is one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met.”
