Noel Fielding to become dad again

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Fielding is expecting his second child with girlfriend Lliana Bird.
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ co-host – who already has daughter Dali, two, with the Radio X DJ – is set to become a father again, with his 38-year-old partner taking to social media to quip that she’s been “baking a little something of myself in lockdown”.
Lliana announced on Instagram: “I’ve actually been baking a little something of myself this lockdown so I’m starting my maternity leave from @radiox this week, and delighted that the bad ass lady that is @pollyjames will be keeping my show seat warm in the coming months.”
As the presenter goes on maternity leave, the 47-year-old comedian is busy working on the upcoming series of ‘Bake Off’.
Channel 4 bosses were unsure if they would be able to air a new series this year after production was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it will now go ahead with a number of precautions being taken.
Sky Studios chief commercial officer Jane Millichip previously teased: “It’s all happening in deep secret, somewhere in darkest deepest Britain in the shires. You will have your Victoria sponge this year.”
Last month, ‘Bake Off’ bosses were “working hard” to ensure this year’s series would take place.
A spokesperson said at the time: “We are working hard to deliver ‘Bake Off’ to the audience this year, the priority is the safety of everyone involved in the production of the series.”
And just days later, it was reported ‘Bake Off’ was due to resume filming this month.
An insider said: “If one person goes down with coronavirus, then everyone on set has to quarantine, the whole production is thrown into jeopardy and it’s a massive risk for small companies to take.
“We are hoping that the government and big broadcasters will step up and carry some of that risk. We can’t physically do it without insurance.”
Meanwhile, Noel previously admitted he’s “mellowed out” over the years – particularly since becoming a father for the first time.
He said: “I’ve mellowed out. The last time me and my girlfriend went out – we don’t go out much now because of the baby – the press wrote, ‘They’re getting some well-deserved rest.'”
