Danny Miller left ‘speechless’ as fundraiser hits £10k

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Miller has been left “speechless” after fans donated over £10,000 to his fundraiser.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor – who runs the Once Upon a Smile charity with his friend Daniel Jillings – was overwhelmed after his fans dug deep and made an incredible gesture to help the organisation, which cares for bereaved children and their families.
Sharing a fundraising update, he tweeted: “I’m just speechless. And actually too overwhelmed to say anything other than THANK YOU!
“Please keep giving – £20,000 would be an absolute dream!! Please help me (sic)”
Danny – who plays Aaron Dingle on the soap – is planning to walk 40 miles from Manchester to Anfield, the home of his beloved Liverpool FC.
On the JustGiving page, he explained: “I have waited years to be there when Liverpool finally lift the premier league and now I can’t even see that in person.
“But I’ll get as close as I can with the help and support from my beloved friends and followers.
“I want to combine two thinks I’ve had taken away from me during COVID-19 – which is the access to our fantastic charity HQ and my second love of my seat at Anfield.
“So I decided to add them together and try and earn some vital funds for my beloved charity and help us on the road back to some normality. (sic)”
Danny – who was previously left in tears after a man donated £2,600 – inadvertently caused a stir when he teased his big announcement.
Although he later revealed his charity run, his former ‘Emmerdale’ co-star Adam Thomas (Adam Barton) couldn’t help use the tweet to hint at a big comeback.
He replied: “I’m coming back to emmerdale !!! Wahoooo!!! (sic)”
Although some fans quickly realised he was just joking, James Hooton – who plays Sam Dingle on the soap – seemed to fall for it.
He tweeted a number of party hat emojis and wrote: “Amazing news! @adamthomas coming home! #emmerdale #adambarton (sic)”
However, James soon realised he’d been duped, and admitted he was completely fooled by the joke.
He added: “I thought it was true… honest (sic)”
