Lucy Alexander donating her dog to her dad

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Alexander is donating her dog to her father to help him combat loneliness.
The former ‘Homes Under the Hammer’ star is currently staying away from her 81-year-old dad amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and has said she is considering letting him take care of her dog Teddy whilst in self-isolation, as he’s been feeling lonely without any company in his house.
Asking for help on Twitter, Lucy wrote: “My 81 yr old dad is alone and lonely. We are thinking of giving up our family dog teddy so he can have him in his home for company- could teddy carry germs? Should we do this?- I could pass him over the fence? Would give dad company & cuddles even though we would miss him. (sic)”
The self-isolation struggle comes after Lucy, 49, tragically lost her mother last month, when she passed away following a battle with cancer.
Lucy wrote on social media at the time: “My mum sadly passed away last night.
“She battled cancer to the end.
“I’ve lost my mate –
“She was my everything.
“RIP Mum
“I’m waiting for your signs (sic)”
The presenter had previously announced she was taking a “break” from social media to “care” for “someone [she] loves”, but didn’t mention her mother by name.
She had tweeted: “I’ve not been posting recently & ive decided to take a break from all social media as it just feels right whilst caring for someone I love. (sic)”
Fellow stars offered their condolences to the presenter, including former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ contestant Emily Atack.
The actress wrote: “Lucy! Sending love x. (sic)”
And Emily’s mother Kate Robbins also wrote: “So sorry to hear this ,Lucy. Lots of love. (sic)”
‘Good Morning Britain’ host Charlotte Hawkins added: “So very sorry to hear that Lucy – sending love. (sic)”
