Matt Lucas and David Walliams hold Little Britain talks with Netflix

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Lucas and David Walliams have held ‘Little Britain’ talks with Netflix.
The comedy duo – who co-wrote and starred in the sketch show from 2003 to 2005 – have discussed the possibility of bringing the programme to the streaming giant, and Matt admitted there is definitely some interest.
Speaking on ‘The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show’ on BBC Radio 2, he said: “It might happen. We had a conversation with them a while ago so the seed was planted in our heads.
“We’d love to bring it back in some way at some point.”
While the 46-year-old star explained he and David, 48, are both “busy boys”, they’re still keen to find a way for the show to make a return.
He added: “We’re both quite busy boys but we’re speaking often (to each other) and one idea was to maybe do a stage show of it again…
“We don’t know. It may come back. I think it will come back in some form. We’re just still figuring out what that will be.”
His comments follow reports that Netflix is prepared to fork out £3 million for new ‘Little Britain’ episodes.
A source said: “Netflix have set up phone meetings next week with David and Matt.
“The offer they are making is more than double the BBC could make. It’d be a package of well over a million each.
“David and Matt don’t need the cash but bosses at Netflix know they are a more viable option for the brand.”
While it is said the potential offer could be a “really attractive prospect” for the pair, it is expected they would give the BBC “due consideration” if they were
approached.
In January, David confirmed there would “definitely” be more ‘Little Britain’ following a special Brexit-themed episode on BBC Radio 4 in October,
He said: “I would say there will definitely be some more ‘Little Britain’ coming. I can’t say when exactly but at the right time and place. It was fun coming back for radio because that’s where we started.
“We had to put it together quite quickly as it was about Brexit. Plus no one expected us to come back on the radio. You would have expected Comic Relief or a big live tour. The reaction was great, which was encouraging.”
