Jeff Hordley thinks Cain Dingle and Nate Robinson can grow closer

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeff Hordley thinks Cain Dingle can mend his relationship with his son Nate Robinson.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor has opened up about how his character and Jurell Carter’s alter ego can move forward after the latter’s affair with Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) and his decision not to report Cain over the shooting incident.
He told Digital Spy: “That will now move them forward. You will see more of a thaw with the pair of those.
“The interesting thing is Moira, Nate, Cain – how will they exist in a village together.”
Viewers will also be wondering how things might unfold between Moira and Cain, who haven’t got back together yet – but in the soap world nothing is impossible.
Jeff suggested a reunion would be fitting “in some shape or form”, even if rekindling their romance seems unlikely at the moment.
He added: “It’s similar to the Cain and Charity and Debbie thing – they’re always going to be bound by their child and they have to get on in some shape of form.
“They have to move forward as any parent does when a relationship breaks down and there’s children involved. That’s where we will see how they cope with life apart but having to be tied by and sharing the childcare.
“I’d love them to be back together as I Iove working with Natalie. We have a shorthand on set with each other, so it makes working with her really easy. It would be nice for them to back together.”
Cain learned of the affair during a brawl on a boat, and the explosive scenes left the actors having to shoot underwater as part of the high-octane stunt.
Jeff previously said: “I was very anxious about the underwater sequence to begin with. Once I had acclimatised to the surroundings and being in a water tank it was better.
“I love snorkelling when I’m on holiday but this was a bit different. What made the whole experience more difficult and challenging was doing the whole thing without goggles or a mask, so your visibility goes down to about 15 percent.”
