OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Middleton is set to make her first public address and to perform her first solo military engagement. The Duchess of Cambridge will be on hand during the opening of The Treehouse, a hospice service run by her charity East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), on March 19 for her first public speech.
Middleton will tour the hospice and meet the staff as well as the families who receive care from EACH.
In addition to her public speech, Middleton will plant a tree in the ground of the hospice in honour of her visit.
On March 17, Middleton will perform her first solo military engagement, where she will present shamrocks to 40 Officers and Warrant Officers.
Middleton recently performed her first set of solo engagements, including visiting two schools in Oxford.
Last year, Middleton received praised from animal rights activists when she reportedly refused to participate in the Royal Family’s traditional Boxing Day bird shoot.
