Malique Thompson-Dwyer is glad 9-5 days are behind him

OHMYGOSSIP — Malique Thompson-Dwyer says making money without doing a 9-5 job is the “best feeling in the world”.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor – who has appeared on ‘Celebs Go Dating’ since leaving the Channel 4 soap last year – has reflected on his time struggling as a salesman when he had to ask friends to lend him a suit for work.
He tweeted: “Making money without a 9-5 is the best feelin in the world
“I remember doing door to door sales an I didn’t have enough bread for a suit so I had to borrow my friends weekly… madness (sic)”
The 21-year-old star left his role as Prince McQueen last summer after three years on the show, and he previously described the job as “an experience of a lifetime”.
He said: “Sorry guys but my time has come
“What a journey it’s been and an experience of a lifetime! Man like Prince is gone! Following his dreams and so am I… onwards and upwards (sic)”
And in a clip shared on the official ‘Hollyoaks’ account, Malique revealed he would miss working with Owen Warner (Romeo Quinn).
He said: “I just wanted to say I’m going to miss loads of people, working with them everyday, especially people like Owen.
“There’s so many memories that I’m going to take with me as well, for all the stunts and everything.
“What I’m going to miss the most is just the atmosphere coming to work. You don’t see it as work being at ‘Hollyoaks’, it’s all fun.”
Malique confirmed his exit in June last year as he revealed his desire to pursue other acting roles as well as his music interests, but he admitted at the time the door is open for a return.
He previously said: “The door is open. My character is still alive so you never know.”
