Jack Osbourne won’t star in another reality show
Jack Osbourne says he will never star in another reality TV show “for as long as” he lives. The 25-year-old star rose to fame with the rest of his family on MTV reality series The Osbournes in 2002, but since his fiancee Lisa Stelly fell pregnant with their first child, he is against his private life being turned into entertainment.
“For as long as I live, I will never, ever allow a camera in my house again. After four years of The Osbournes, I felt I’d turned into a talking box of Daz soap powder,” Jack said.
Jack and aspiring actress Lisa met earlier this year, and she became pregnant soon after and they subsequently got engaged.
“We met through friends. But she’s a very private individual so I don’t really want to start spouting off too much about her,” Jack added.
“I’m very sure she’s the one. And yes, we’re engaged. I know that might sound a little old-fashioned these days, but I bought the ring — without her knowledge — because I wanted to do it properly.”
Media personality turned film producer Jack’s rock star father Ozzy and mother Sharon are both happy with the engagement, with Sharon saying, “I’m happy because it’s what Jack wants. And I’ve always wanted to be a grandmother.”
Jack has bittersweet feelings about The Osbournes now, but hasn’t ruled out watching it again and showing it to his children when they have grown up.
“Would I watch any of that footage again? Maybe when my kids are teenagers, just to show them what not to do. And also to show them that their old dad had one or two mad days before they were born,” he said.
