Michelle Williams obsessed with Marilyn Monroe

Michelle Williams became obsessed with Marilyn Monroe while playing the screen goddess in a new movie. The actress says she surrounded herself with images, movies and books about the late actress in preparation for her role in My Week with Marilyn.

“I really watched everything, read everything, listened to everything, I had pictures on my wall — I was surrounded by her,” says Michelle.
 
“There’s so many little corners that you keep finding the more research you do, the more light that is shown in these places. She was a complicated lady.”
 
The star recently admitted she followed her heart instead of her mind in playing the screen legend in new movie My Week with Marilyn.
 
“I guess I am a glutton for punishment because for some reason, I won’t let myself shrink from a challenge,” says Michelle.
 
“I think that’s how I find myself in these situations, making these movies; while my intellect is saying retreat, retreat, retreat! — my heart is already there. That’s just how I make a decision.”
