Kelly Clarkson loves using her celebrity status to get tables in restaurants. The Breakaway hitmaker insists she would feel like a “tool” if she called a venue to make a booking for herself but is happy to have her assistant arrange things for her.
“I do love it when you call a restaurant and they’re booked, then you have an assistant call, dropping your name, and somehow a table is found,” she said.
“I’ve never dropped it myself though, I’d feel like a tool.”
However, Kelly — who shot to fame after winning TV talent show American Idol in 2002 — insists she never goes out of her way to be noticed by anyone and can’t understand why some celebrities enjoy being spotted so much.
“I laugh at people who go to places just to be seen,” she said. “At the start, I was told I should do that too but it’s fake and ridiculous to me, I don’t understand it.”
