Actress Minka Kelly fired from Doctor’s Office after refusing plastic surgery
She was named Esquire magazine’s “”Sexiest Woman Alive last year, but Minka Kelly has revealed her stunning looks weren’t enough for a certain former Playboy Playmate who offered to mentor the young actress in the ways of beauty.
“I was 19. She was very seductive and said that she wanted to manage me and that I had a lot of potential,” Minka Kelly told David Letterman on the “Late Show with David Letterman” on Wednesday. “She said that she could get me a job at this doctor’s office in return for plastic surgery, which I would need to be a Playboy Playmate.
“All I needed were eight sites of lipo, fake breasts, a few veneers and all kinds of stuff,” she continued, laughing.
The former “Friday Night Lights” star lasted “about a month” at the job before deciding she was satisfied with her surgery-free self.
“I realized I didn’t want all that stuff. When I told her that I didn’t want that, she said I would never be Playmate of the Year,” Minka explained. “And I said, ‘I think that’s OK. I’m OK with that.’
“I was fired the next week,” she added.
