Peaches Geldof hits out at drugs claims
Peaches Geldof has hit back at claims she has been using heroin, insisting: “I don’t do drugs.” She spoke out after being in the spotlight recently over her weight loss and stories yesterday highlighting the “strange marks” on her arms. Bob Geldof’s daughter was pictured at a Vivienne Westwood fashion bash on Wednesday night with “odd bruises” close to veins on her arms.
But she said: “I’m not on drugs. If people feel the need to validate my weight loss by saying I’m on drugs then shame on them. I’ve changed my diet and the way I live. That’s it. The marks on my arms have been there since childhood. Check any picture – it’s caused by a skin condition called psoriasis.”
Three years ago the TV star reportedly suffered an overdose of heroin, the drug which killed her mother Paula Yates in 2000.
Peaches also hit back at reports that police and ambulance crews were called to her North London home on Tuesday night where they apparently found a man “in respiratory arrest”. Peaches says: “As for the 30-year-old man OD-ing in my house, it’s not true and my lawyers are dealing with this. It’s about time people stopped thinking the worst of me. It’s becoming very boring.”
Peaches has been taking a lot of flak lately for her dramatic weight loss with reports claiming she’s suffering from an eating disorder following a crazy fad diet.
