La Toya Jackson hospitalised for hand injury

La Toya Jackson was briefly hospitalised in LA on Wednesday after experiencing severe pain in her right hand. The singer was checked by doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre after her right hand suddenly began to swell yesterday evening.

Jackson tweeted that the pain was “excruciating”, but disclosed that her physician sent her home after giving her medication to calm the throbbing.

She speculated that the ailment could have been caused by a recent manicure.

Jackson updated fans on her condition this morning, revealing that she will be meeting with a specialist today because her hand still feels like it’s “on fire”.

In June, Jackson revealed that she was routinely threatened and abused by her ex-husband Jack Gordon.
