OHMYGOSSIP — Jamiroquai and Grace Jones are headlining ONBlackheath 2019.
The English funk and acid jazz band – fronted by singer Jay Kay – will headline the Main Stage on Saturday July 13, whilst the ‘Pull Up To The Bumper’ hitmaker will return to the festival to top the bill on Sunday July 14.
A post on the official Jamiroquai Twitter account read: “Proud to announce we’ll be back in London headlining 🇬🇧 this year’s @onblackheath on July 13th. Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 12th, looking forward to this one!”
Since Jamiroquai first emerged in the early 90s they have amassed 3 UK number one albums, Grammy and Billboard award wins and a Guinness World Record in 1997 for the best-selling funk album of all time.
After starting her music career in the 1970s, Grace – who portrayed Bond girl May Day in 1985’s 007 film ‘A View To A Kill’ – achieved mainstream success in the 80s with her critically acclaimed albums ‘Warm Leatherette’, ‘Living My Life’, ‘Nightclubbing’ and ‘Slave to the Rhythm.
Also booked to perform are Rag’n’Bone Man, British reggae legends UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro, Morcheeba, James Morrison, Soul II Soul and Aswad among many more.
