Jamie Foxx: It’s hard to find a girlfriend

Jamie Foxx wants a girlfriend! The single star says he’s having trouble finding the right woman to share romantic nights with due to the ups and downs of his movie career.

“When your movie is hot, your options are like crazy,” says Jamie, 42. “Girls in LA have to play a little hard to get because we (guys) come with so much bravado.

“I love how I’ll date a girl and they’ll always put little in front of everything I do. They say, ‘Hi, Jamie. I know who you are. I see you doing your little movies and win your little Grammys and win your little Oscar.

“The easy thing sort of scares me so I usually date outside the business because the person who is maybe an accountant or a lawyer or something like that, is just a totally different thing.”

Foxx recently claimed he was brought up to be a “little gentleman” and from a young age has sought out the company of women in order to learn as much as possible about being a good partner.

“First, there was my grandmother who always made sure that I was a little gentleman and knew about manners,” he said. “Then I was playing the piano at eight, and that helps you learn about women because most of the people I was playing for were women.

“That’s why I’ve always surrounded myself with women. I have about 20 to 25 platonic relationships with women all across the board from professional to artistic and they always give little clues on what they like.”
