Jenna Fischer talks about her divorce and new husband James Gunn

Jenna Fischer has opened up about her split from husband James Gunn. The pair ended their seven year marriage in 2007 and The Office actress admits she didn’t bother to embrace the single life.

“I thought I’d go wild with Freedom, but instead I did what I did in college–stay home with my cats,” Fischer tells Redbook in the March issue.

“I didn’t want to waste time. I remember going out with one cute, funny guy, I thought, ‘We could have a really fun eight months, but that’s eight months I’m taking away from finding Mr. Right.’”

Jenna’s Mr. Right can in the form of screenwriter Lee Kirk, whom she wed in Malibu last July.

“I was having weekly script diners with Lee and realized, I’m looking at basically the perfect man,” she said.
