Russell Crowe likes hanging out with his kids
Russell Crowe says there’s othing better than hanging out with his wife and kids. The Gladiator star admits he struggles to leave his family home to go to work and would much rather spend his time with his sons than actors and directors.
“I’m just an average Dad who worries about spending enough time at home versus working,” says Russell.
“I like to step back and just spend time with the family. We have very normal days where it’s just about the kids and what they want to do. We go to a park or toss a ball around. There is nothing better.”
Crowe recently revealed he’s fed up with people thinking he’s a one-trick star who only works with Brit director Ridley Scott – with whom he made Gladiator and Robin Hood.
“I read a thing the other day, it was supposed to be a positive review,” he said. “The guy said he really enjoyed this movie (The Next Three Days).
“Then he wrote, it’s so good to see me do something other than cliched Ridley Scott epics. I’m like, kiss my pitudy! That’s ridiculous, I’ve done two films with Ridley. So out of 36 movies or whatever, how did it suddenly become a cliche that I do epics with Ridley all the time? I’ve done two with the bloke.”
