I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! to get all-star special

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ is set to get an all-star special.
Ant and Dec – who have hosted the show since 2002 – are keen to persuade bosses of the creepy-crawly programme to do a one-off series that will bring all the winners of the past 14 years back together for three explosive weeks in the Australian outback.
Speaking to BBC Three Counties Radio, Dec said: “We’ve had so many brilliant, brilliant people on there. Sometimes we talk about how it would be brilliant to do a Best Of and get some of the jungle Kings and Queens back. A champion of champions.”
However, they’re not just drawing the line at the previous winners, as they’d also like to see some comical camp mates rub shoulders with some new feisty contestants.
Ant explained: “And also some of the contestants that were great but didn’t win. We’ve had so many genius people over the years. We’re like you, we love the show. We love presenting the show. We get obsessed by the celebrities.”
And it seems the chances of an all-star special have heightened now that ITV have penned a new three-year deal with Craig Parker – who owns the Dungay Creek, Queensland, where the show is filmed – to continue shooting on his land.
A source said recently: “ITV must have thrown a lot of money at the Parkers because they have managed to smooth this over in record time.
“They are ready to continue their professional relationship together and the council will without question agree to the extension.”
And there’s no chance the loveable presenting duo will be replaced as they’ve also just signed a new three-year deal with ITV to keep working with the broadcaster.
Ant, 40, and Dec, 41, said in a statement: “We are absolutely delighted to be extending our relationship with ITV, to continue on the three shows we love as well as exploring further opportunities both in front of and behind the camera. This deal will take us past the 20-year mark with ITV and we couldn’t be happier.”
