Madonna´s brother Christopher Ciccone hoping for “Idol” job

Christopher Ciccone, Madonna´s brother, has claimed that he would be a good judge on “American Idol”. Ciccone is hoping to replace Simon Cowell, has launched a Facebook page to promote his cause and currently has just over 600 supporters.

“I really love the show. It´s become part of the American dream. I think I can bring a particular kind of credibility to the show,” Ciccone told the New York Post. “I´d be the only person sitting at the table who actually created a popstar from the beginning, and helped keep her there for 20 years. I know what it takes to make it.” He also dismissed his rumoured competitors, including DJ Howard Stern and blogger Perez Hilton.

“I think Howard is a great guy but it is difficult to see him sitting there, with the demographic he brings to the table,” he explained. “And I know producers are talking to Perez, although he is probably the only person who doesn´t realise how irrelevant he is.”
