The Finnish cleaning star Auri Kananen, who spins hundreds of thousands of euros, moves to Miami: Money brings freedom

OHMYGOSSIP – “Hello, I’m Aurikatariina, a 30-year-old girl from Pirkanmaa and I clean people’s homes for free,” Auri introduces herself on her website aurikacleaning.com. “I film and post cleaning videos on my TikTok, YouTube and Instagram channels. I want to show the whole world that cleaning is fun. And asking for help is worth it! Even the most seemingly impossible mess gets cleaned up! I drive around Finland and clean the homes of those who really need, free!”

Auri Kananen’s videos are popular and her channels are watched by millions of viewers, YouTube alone brought her more than half a million euros from views last year. Auri, who used to work in her mother’s cleaning company, came up with the idea of cleaning videos in 2020, when she filmed a cleaning and partly as a joke uploaded it to her Tiktok account. Then Auri founded her own cleaning company, which was already in profit with 260,000 euros in 2021. Last year, the profit was already 600,000 euros, the largest part comes from social media (YouTube and Facebook) and various social media cooperations and advertising campaigns. Kananen also participated as a judge in the program Master Cleaners Suomi, which further increased her fame.

“Money is important to me in the sense that it produces freedom. Freedom is one of the most important values for me,” the venturesome and enterprising woman told Ilta-Sanomat publication Me Naiset in April.

Now Auri is also expanding to America with her home cleaning business. She got an offer she simply couldn’t refuse. Auri revealed to Iltalehti that she will travel to Miami for three months in December. “There is a company in Miami that manages my Facebook page. They organize everything there for me,” says Auri, who, in addition to new advertising collaborations, will of course also be paid for living and travel.
