Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2012 Darli Pacheco: The island of Puerto Rico is small in size but we are big for all we have to offer
OHMYGOSSIP — Miss Earth 2012, the 12th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, will take place on November 24, 2012 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines. The pageant will be broadcasted live on Star World at 8:00 p.m. and will be shown on November 25, 2012, 10:00 a.m. on ABS-CBN, TFC-The Filipino Channel, and also on channels of participating counties worldwide.

What environmental project will you create to promote the protection of Mother Earth and why?
Acoustic contamination (noise pollution) this is a problem that is affecting us worldwide and not many people know about this topic and problem.
What makes you proud of your country and what can you promote about it?
Puerto Rico is history, culture and tradition, my island is not only known for having beautiful women, it is also known for being one of the happiest countries on the planet. We have great music, delicious varieties of food and also beautiful beaches and of course our incredible people. We love to help others and we always carry a smile even to those we have never seen before. I will promote all of the above mentioned, The island of Puerto Rico is small in size but we are big for all we have to offer.
Describe your childhood/growing years:
As a child I was always around adults, my grandparents, my older sister and brother. Great memories I remember are the great times we had going to the rivers in my city Ponce in Puerto Rico.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
I learned that life is full of efforts and sacrifices, you must work with passion for what you want and that in order for any human to have a better future you must have made efforts in your past.
What is your most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment in my life was when I was offered a contract to work as a model and as a TV host in the Dominican Republic, I worked there for one year and a half, and when I returned to Puerto Rico I was able to help my parents with their needs and I was able to buy my mother the car that she wanted and also help my brothers.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose it?
I chose the pollution (contamination) in all aspects because I think this is something that is affecting us world wide. This is an advocacy that can be implemented and can be useful all over the word.
What tip can you share to promote sustainable energy for all?
I have to start by saying that the easiest way to promote sustainable energy is teaching and advising people that all the changes we can do and must do to save our planet needs to be done. Sustainable energy is a way to produce energy without hurting our planet.
Other information that you would like to share with the Miss Earth Management:
I want to share with the Miss Earth Management is that Darli Arni a is a hard working girl, always looking life in a positive way. In moments of difficulties I become more calm and focus in order for me to perform a much better job.
