Love Island used Tinder to find contestants

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ bosses used dating apps to find contestants for this year’s series.
The popular dating show will return to screens next month for another instalment but, in order to make sure producers have the cream of the crop when it comes to stars of the show, they reportedly signed up to Tinder to track people down, The Sun reports.
But fans may be in for a shock when they switch on their television screens and meet this year’s line-up as senior producer Angela Jain has said that there will be a whole host of totally different characters this time around to ensure the most entertainment.
The contestants are yet to be revealed, but it’s believed Danny Dyer’s daughter Dani has agreed to enter the villa after she was forced to pull out of its sister show ‘Survival of the Fittest’ in January after she dislocated her shoulder early on.
Last year’s series – which saw the likes of Kem Cetinay, Amber Davies, Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville – proved a huge success but this time around bosses want to lay down some strict guidelines to make sure that there aren’t any complaints.
Smoking in the villa is one of the things bosses have banned this year.
A source said recently: “Last year there were more viewer complaints about the amount of smoking than anything else. It did feel like someone had a fag in their hand constantly last series, so hopefully viewers will notice the difference.”
They’re also clamping down on sex on screen and will be dishing out handbooks to everyone entering the villa to ensure they understand contraception and consent.
‘Love Island’ – hosted by Caroline Flack – will return to screen on June 4 on ITV2.
