Kaia Gerber’s new love

OHMYGOSSIP — Kaia Gerber is dating 17-year-old British model Fenton Merkell.
The 16-year-old daughter of legendary supermodel Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber has recently started a relationship with Fenton, whose mother is British TV star Patsy Palmer, most famous for starring in the soap ‘EastEnders’.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “It’s very early days but they have grown close and seem very happy together.”
Patsy quit ‘EastEnders’ in 2014 and moved to Los Angeles with her husband Richard Merkell and their four children.
She became close pals with Cindy and Rande and both Fenton and his 16-year-old daughter sister Emilia are signed to The Dragonfly Agency.
An insider added: “Fenton and Kaia have been close pals for a while through their mums’ friendship and in recent months it has grown into something more.
“It helps that they are both trying to make it in the same industry.
“Plus, Kaia has also become best friends with Emilia and they often hang out together.”
The teenage model explained: “She gives me advice for life more than modelling, like ‘Be on time,’ which is really important in the industry we’re both in.
“And to be kind to everyone. Everyone that I’ve worked with says she’s the most professional person that they work with, so I could only hope that they say the something about me.”
Kaia is frequently compared to her iconic mother, and while she concedes there are some physical similarities, she insisted they have distinctly different personalities.
She said: “My mom and I aren’t the same size. She’s a bit taller. And we’re not the same shoe size either, which is heartbreaking.
“I know that we have a lot of the same mannerisms and, obviously, look a little bit alike, but yeah, I’d say we are quite different.”
