Suki Waterhouse believes Burberry fashion shows are ‘always cutting edge’

OHMYGOSSIP — Suki Waterhouse believes Burberry fashion shows are “always cutting edge”. The 25-year-old model has praised the fashion house for their innovative creations and believes the garments exhibited in the luxury label’s Autumn/Winter 2017 showcase, which took place on Monday (20.02.17) at London’s Makers House during London Fashion Week, are always a pleasant surprise for her and exceed her expectations.

Speaking about the longstanding British brand on ITV’s breakfast show ‘Lorraine’ on Tuesday (21.02.17), the blonde beauty – who was the face of the designer brand’s beauty campaign in 2014 – said: “They’re always cutting edge you never know what you’re getting.”

And the catwalk icon has likened Burberry’s chief executive director Christopher Bailey’s recent collection to “costume dresses”. She continued: “These were like costume dresses.”

Suki was joined by fellow models including Naomi Campbell, Jourdan Dunn, Lily Donaldson as well as the labels new representative for their cosmetics campaigns Iris Law at the star studded event.

The 42-year-old actress Penélope Cruz and 28-year-old musician and fashion designer Tinie Tempah also flocked to see the exhibition. And Burberry’s menswear and womenswear garments, which were presented during last night’s presentation, were made available to consumers to buy immediately after the catwalk show from Burberry stores, their e-store, as well as on their retail partners’ sites as part of their second straight-to-consumer collection.

Meanwhile, Makers House will be open for anyone who missed the fashion show and want to browse through the latest capsule or explore the inspiration behind the creative mastermind’s masterpieces through a unique exhibition of 40 sculptures made by the late artist Henry Moore. And 78 exclusive couture capes, all of which have individual names, will make up part of the exhibition that will travel around the globe from the London site to Paris, Tokyo and Los Angeles.
