Gail Simmons welcomes first child

OHMYGOSSIP — Gail Simmons is a mommy! The Top Chef judge and her husband Jeremy Abrams welcomed their first child, daughter Dahlia Rae Abrams, on Sunday, Dec. 29.

“Dahlia weighed 7 lbs., 3 oz.,” her rep said. “Mother, father and baby are doing wonderfully.”

Simmons, 37, said in September that she and her husband were waiting to find out the sex.

“We’d like it to be a surprise,” she said. “We have some of the nursery done, but we’re going to wait until [we find out] who this little nugget is.”

In October, Simmons added that she considered her first pregnancy to be an easy one.

“I really can’t complain. It’s been amazing,” she said. “I feel great and I have lots of energy. I still have a few months left, and then the actual parenting begins!”
