Princess Ariane of the Netherlands to attend the same high school as her sisters

OHMYGOSSIP – Her Royal Highness Princess Ariane of the Netherlands will attend the Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet in The Hague after the summer holidays, according to the Government Information Services (RVD). She currently attends the Openbare Bloemcampschool in Wassenaar, near The Hague.

Her elder sisters The Princess of Orange and Princess Alexia also attend the same school. Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet is an independent Protestant school with over 700 students in the capital of the province of South Holland. Princess Laurentien, the wife of King Willem-Alexander’s brother, Prince Constantijn, also attended the school when she was a child.

While the three Princesses are in school, their lives are considered to be private, and the Dutch King and Queen have specifically requested that the press should respect their private lives.

Princess Ariane is the third child and daughter of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Queen Máxima. She was born on 10 April 2007 in the HMC Bronovo in The Hague. Her name was announced on 13 April, when the birth was registered. One of her names is Ines, and she was named for her aunt and godmother Inés Zorreguieta who committed suicide last year. Her other godparents are Valeria Delger, Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Tijo Baron Collot d’Escury, and Anton Friling.

Her father succeeded her grandmother Queen Beatrix upon her abdication in 2013 and her elder sister became the heir apparent with the title of “Princess of Orange.” Princess Ariane is currently third in the line of succession. The family just moved to Huis ten Bosch in The Hague. The Huis ten Bosch Palace is one of the three palaces made available by the state to the Royal Family. The others are Noordeinde Palace in The Hague and the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. It will be used as their residence but also for officials receptions.
